Children's Books Recommendations (besides Eric Carle)

I have read The Hungry Little Caterpillar many many many many times in Japan.

It's a great book, and Eric Carle is a fantastic author. But he's not the only pal out there...

Hervé Tullet is a French artist and children's book author. His playful books have been translated in over 30 languages. I recommend Mix it Up! and Press Here.

Mo Willems is an American writer, animator, and children's books author.

I had known of his books, but forgot about him until my OTE bought a copy of There is a Bird on Your Head. The students really enjoyed and なんとなくunderstood it.

I recommend Let's Go for a Drive! and Today I will Fly, because they contain vocabulary that most Japanese students will know.
